Los Olivos Restaurant in Old Town Scottsdale

The Corral family moved to Scottsdale in 1919, to escape working in the mines. This historic building in Old Town Scottsdale houses Los Olivos Restaurant run by the Corral family for over 61 years.  The architecture is very Spanish, Gaudi-esque, with this surrealistic room, bathed is blue light from biomorphic stained glass.  Most of the waiters and waitresses are family members or long-time employees.  Yesterday, I was served by Nancy who has been there for 31 years.  The food and salsa is delicious - my favorite Mexican food for over 30 years!!!  The Corrals also helped build the Old Mission church nearby. (Note:  Please excuse a hasty mistake I made if you read the earlier blog.)
