Orange Cactus Flowers of Engelmann's Prickly Pear

2012 has been a great year for cactus flowers.  On this blog, I've had magenta, pink and yellow flowers, each surrounded by sharp cactus spines.  Engelmann's Prickly Pear is the most common in Arizona, but the flower is hardly common, with its silky petals and powdery, pollen-cover anthers.  This orangish flower will turn into a "tuna" or red fruit eaten by rodents and birds, who then disperse the seeds through their droppings.
