Saturday Farmer's Market Old Town

Peaches are in all of the markets now from local farmers, but the best place for fresh, direct from the farmer foods is at one of the Saturday Farmer's Markets in Scottsdale, though the market in Old Town is winding down for the season.   McClendon's is one of the local organic farmers that offers great fruits and vegetables at the market from October to May.  Other great vendors sell: honey which offer a distinctive cactus flower taste; cactus fruit jellies; hot pepper relishes; local nuts, roasted and flavored; freshly baked breads and pastries; cheeses; and some handicrafts.  In addition to Old Town, there is a great farmer's market at 94th and Shea and up at DC Ranch.  If you missed the market today, you might have to wait for September.  Weekend indoor markets in the summer can be found at Scottsdale and Thunderbird and Town and Country Center.
