The Pavilions at Talking Stick, on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Reservation on the Loop 101 and Indian Bend Road, went through some hard times during the slow economy, but a revival has begun with the opening of the new Salt River Fields baseball complex next door and the Talking Stick Resort, Casino, and Golf Club down the street. Upscale Ultrastar Cinema opened, and favorites such as YC's Mongolian Grill and the 5 and Diner still serve great food. The Guitar Store is like a candy store for musicians. Saturday night is perfect for dinner and a movie, for checking out the Pavilions Vintage Car Show and enjoying a fabulous sunset over Camelback mountain through the palms.
New to Pavilions: Mountainside Fitness Centers, Toni and Guy Hairdressing Academy, Barro's Pizza, Filiberto's,Yogurtini, Digitell, Chipotle, American Furniture Galleries, Potato Barn Unique Home Furnishings, Hobby Lobby, Sprint Wireless, Goodwill, and Owl Ear Discount Cigars and Tobacco - tax free. Buffalo Wild Wings and Hooters will open soon.
