Scottsdale Unified School District moves into the 21st century with solar panels incorporated into many of the school remodels. This year, they have been adding parking shade structures at eleven schools, all topped with solar panels, which not only add shade for the cars, but also will save the district up to $300,000 a year. The district is continuing to explore more green technology to save money and the environment.
