West of Center: SMoCA's Counterculture Exhibit

From Sept. 29 to January 6, 2013, SMoCA has a creative exhibit called "West of Center: Art and the Counterculture Experiment in America, 1965-1977.  The American West, from San Francisco to the Rocky Mountains was a center of this anti-establishment revolution filled with love, peace and radical ideas.  The art movement was a social phenomenon of not just psychedelia, but also awakening of our consciousness beginning with a focus on the environment.  The exhibit includes photography, videos, art, drawings, and ephemera of the time.  Take a trip to SMoCA - and wear a flower in your hair.  (SMoCA is free on Thursdays!!)  West of Center
