It's Baaack . . . Scottsdale Air Fair

Photo azcentral.com

This is the first time I have had two blogs on one day, but this event warrants a blog.  Some of the most interesting planes have been flying over town because of the return of the Scottsdale Air Fair at Scottsdale Air Park.  Shut down after 9/11/2001, they finally are back with vintage aircraft, military planes and ground equipment, helicopters and emergency response vehicles.  Activities run from 10-5 p.m. this weekend, where in addition to viewing and touring the planes and vehicles, arts and crafts booths, aircraft simulations and live entertainment will accompany the various flybys.  A bounce house and zipline is available for kids.  At 11:30 this morning, an F-18 Super Hornet will flyover, and at 2 p.m. will be the F-15s. Cover your ears!!!

  1. I wondered why I was hearing so much air traffic yesterday - lots of very loud planes overhead!
