I Spy a Cardinal

Elusive Arizona Cardinals are rare sightings in Scottsdale.  Like Peyton Manning, they look for the right enticement for their high-profile visit.  We share these birds with Eastern America and Mexico, and I have only seen them a few times in my 38 years in Arizona.  Where there is a beautiful masked male, there will surely be a duller female version nearby, his life-mate.  You may hear them before you see them with their, "what-cheer, what-cheer, what, what, what, what."  Sounds more like a Cardinal's fan, doesn't it?  I ♥ Arizona Cardinals.
