McDowell Mountains with Desert Abloom

Springtime in the desert means colorful flowers, perfect temperatures, and sunny skies which together creates ideal conditions for a hike in the McDowells.  Scottsdale is bordered by the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, over 17,000 acres of scenic wilderness under the stewardship of the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy.  In a partnership with the City of Scottsdale, the MSC provides programs and raises funds for completion of the preserve,  educational programs, and environmental sustainability, guaranteeing that the McDowell Sonoran Preserve will be here for future generations to enjoy.
