Supermoon over Scottsdale

221,802 miles from Earth, the moon rose over Scottsdale.  At 8:34, through the cloud of the patio mister with an ordinary camera, this picture was snapped, showing the moon surrounded by palm trees.  I made one adjustment to the photo, reducing the shadows, and this is what developed.  Today in the paper and on the internet, I have seen detailed pictures of the supermoon appearing so close as to be touchable, but nothing quite like this impressionistic abstraction.
