Mighty Mud Mania - June 9

The Mighty Mud Mania 2012 is a cool way to spend a hot summer day in Scottsdale!! Begun in 1976 as a promotion for Johnson Wax's "Shout," Scottsdale continued the tradition which includes this muddy obstacle course for children.  This is the first year that adults can also complete the course (from 12-2) at Chaparral Park.  They trucked in 220 tons of dirt this week!!! Beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 9, children can run the obstacle course, play in mud pits, build sand castles in a covered area, visit a town of mud called "Mudville," or play in a water play area.  After the dirty fun, the Scottsdale fire department and city plumbers offer a "kidwash."  After cleaning, go to the Chaparral pool next door for $1.  Adults, it's time to show the kids how to get down and dirty.
