Belly up to the Bar at Scottsdale's oldest saloon, the Rusty Spur. A popular watering spot for over 60 years, this bar is a huge hit during spring training. Even in the summer, the music is nearly non-stop, as two to three bands, mostly Western, play throughout the day into the night beginning around 1 p.m. The Farmer's State Bank opened in 1921 in this building, and closed for a "bank holiday" in 1933, never to reopen (as a bank.) It later housed the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce, until 1951, when the Rusty Spur restaurant opened. 1958 marks the first liquor license and the birth of the oldest saloon in Scottsdale. The Singing Cowboy has been known to walk his horse right in through those swinging saloon doors. And you have to go find out the secret that is stored in the still existing bank vault. What might they keep in this now refrigerated vault that would be so valuable? Cheaters check:
