Though not one of a kind or locally owned, Brio Tuscan Grille at Scottsdale Quarter offers what its name implies, an experience "full of life." The Tuscan philosophy of "to eat well is to live well" shows in its varied menu of Northern Italian cuisine. Brio creates an interior Tuscan Villa atmosphere while keeping their dishes affordable. Calamari Fritto Misto and Crab & Shrimp Fonduta were great starters followed by Lobster Bisque. The menu offers so many great choices, though I enjoyed the Sweet Potato and Chicken Risotto. My friends often go just for the Tuscan Harvest Salad or Sliced Steak Salad. The weekday happy hour menu has tempting tasters at $2.95 and drinks at $5. Tripadvisor rates it a 4 out of 5, but ranks it #141 out of 744 restaurants in Scottsdale. When I looked at the 140 ahead of Brio, I realize I need to eat out more often.
