A Carefree Christmas

You don't have to go to Disneyland to catch an Electric Light Parade.  Tonight at 6 p.m., as part of an entire weekend of events, Carefree will host its fifth annual parade down Easy Street (what else would you name a street in Carefree?  Ho Hum Drive?)  The parade will continue through the Town Center, around one of the world's largest sundials, and finish with a fireworks display.  Activities throughout the rest of the weekend will include a field with 25 tons of snow for kids to play, build snowmen, and have snowball fights, live music, carolers, Christmas market, visits with Santa, a mailbox to the North Pole, and excerpt performances of The Nutcracker Ballet.  Sunday is Pet Day, featuring a Pet Parade at 10 a.m., with prizes going to the best-dressed pooches.  The parade and all events have that small town feel that visitors love.  Carefree Christmas
